‘Helicopter Magazine’ was a fortnightly partwork which comprised a 16-page full colour magazine and a 1:72 scale diecast model of a helicopter. The series built up into a collection of the world’s most important helicopters over the past 60 years. The printed magazine was sourced via Key Publishing and described and illustrated the helicopter type featured in the model, with some very nice photographs and colour profile artwork.
The model was supplied in a bubble pack and needed some (push-fit) assembly for the rotors and display stand. The model was finished in realistic colours and markings. The complete collection consisted of 48 models over a 2-year period from late August/early September 2012 – an extra 4 models were supplied free to subscribers, making a total of 52 models.
