This boxed set of Lifeguards is a special 1984 issue to commemorate the acquisition of Britains Ltd. by Dobson Park Industries plc. These models are made by today's methods using a zinc alloy but they still retain the nostalgia of "The Life Guards" which were the first hollow cast lead soldiers made by William Britain in 1893.
