These two volumes represent a very interesting collection of photographs. They are photos of aircraft that fell into the hands of the Allies, primarily the Western powers; occasionally, captured aircraft from the East can also be found. The majority of the photos were taken in 1945, but there are also several pictures from North Africa and Italy in 1943-1944, as well as a few from 1940.

The photos are arranged by aircraft type, specifically in the first volume: Ju 88, Ju 290, Ju 388, Ju 188, W34, Bf 109, Bf 110, Me 262, Me 323, Me 163, Ar 234, Mistel, Me 410, Do 335, Natter, He 162, He 177, He 219, Fw 190, He 111, Hs 129, Ju 52, gliders, Ju 87, V1 & V2, Fl 282, Fw 189, Fi 156, Vichy aircraft, Italian aircraft; and in the second volume: Bf 109, Fw 190, Ta 154, Do 335, Me 262, He 162, Me 163, Natter, Bf 110, Ju 88 fighter, Me 410, He 219, Go 229, Ar 234, Hs 129, Ju 87, Ju 88 bomber, Ju 188 & Ju 388, Do 17 & Do 217, He 111, He 177, Fw 200, Ju 290, Mistel, Fw 189, Fi 156, training aircraft, transport aircraft, gliders, various aircraft, Italian aircraft, captured aircraft, rockets and glide bombs, V1 & V2.

These are purely photographic books without a discernible concept and with very brief captions, where one often wishes for more information than descriptions like "somewhere in Germany" or "in Bavaria," especially when the subject is very unusual, e.g., the nose of a late Bf 109 G with a griffin emblem (similar to that of KG 55). The quality of the photographic reproductions varies greatly from mediocre to excellent. Some photos are razor-sharp, others somewhat blurry. Some photos are reproduced full-page; otherwise, there are two, three, or four photos per page. Both aircraft with original markings and repainted captured aircraft are shown.
