The Worcestershire Regiment, also known as the 29th/36th Regiment of Foot, was a British infantry regiment with a history dating back to 1694. It participated in various wars, including both World Wards, earning several honors and Victoria Cross awards. In 1970, it merged with the Sherwood Foresters to form the Worcestershire and Sherwood Foresters Regiment. Today, its legacy is carried on by the Mercian Regiment, formed in 2007.
